A kind animal lover saves a dog from starvation.
The sad reality is that there are many irresponsible owners who , out of laziness or lack of consideration, avoid going to a pet adoption service where they can take care of them in a controlled environment until when they find a new home. Instead, they abandoned their trusty pets in the elements with no regard for the poor creature’s welfare.
And while that’s not the case, statistics show that every day creatures with no trace of humanity discard their pets as if they were changing their shoes.
This is the case of Lena, a dog found severely malnourished , evident by bony protrusions in the skin. A private rescuer, affiliated with the nonprofit, Takis Shelter, decided to reach out to interact with the poor animal.
Although very aggressive at first, Lena later became more lenient with her rescuer, who led her straight to her shelter after a while. There he was able to take care of his condition systematically.
Luckily, Lena doesn’t have any skin or organ problems, so once she recovers from her malnutrition, she should be able to live peacefully with the other dogs in the shelter and even You can even find a stable home.
During the first time of her stay, Lena proved to be very cunning and would even try to attack her rescuer.
However, just a little love and tenderness is enough for them to win her trust.
Organizations like Takis make us feel proud of our sense of humanity, by feeling sorry for defenseless animals that are subjected to conditions for which they are not to blame.
Lena now has a space where she can play with other pets, eat well and have a long life with the care of responsible and qualified people.
She gained weight and became active, stronger over time, back in shape and fit.
She was recently adopted through the efforts of the organization, bringing a happy ending to this tragic story, leaving us all with one big lesson: There’s always room for a pet. more in our hearts, and more if a noble and kind cause prompts us to rescue the poor creatures on the streets.
